Mommy Date

I just love taking random days off to spend with Morgan. We spent the morning riding her own bike around the neighborhood. We met a little 6 year old boy along the way riding his own bike. We said hello and he starting showing off for Morgan doing tricks and such. Morgan was trying to copy every move he made. They played together for about 30 min not caring a bit that they couldn't understand what each other was saying. Ever since Morgan has been asking about the "boy? boy?" No, Morgan, boys are bad.

After Morgan's nap we hopped on Mommy's bike and rode to the nearby park. We shared an ice cream (that didn't last long enough for a picture) and played on the playground all afternoon.

The blue mouth is from the cup of blueberries she ate before we left.

bathingsuit bathingsuit BATHINGSUIT!

Morgan loves swimming and loves wearing her new bathing suit.

One of our friends , Thomas (Amy’s co-worker who I also mountain bike with), invited us over to his parent’s house for playing in the pool and a nice dinner with friends.  It took Morgan a few minutes to get used to the pool (she loves the beach/lake nearby) but once she did… she did not want to get out.

Bike Trail

Earlier this week we thought it would be fun to take Morgan with her bike to one of our favorite bike paths to give her a little more room to ride and so we could get a chance to take some pictures while on foot. Its amazing the difference in perspective! Anyhow Morgan and Crazy Kitty had a great time on riding and Scott got some great pictures of the bees, damselflies, and butterflies.

Morgan Quips and a new friend!

Recently my friend from TBDBITL came across the pond and spent 1 week visiting and exploring Belgium, Germany and London.  We had a great time with Wes.. and Morgan now has a very good new friend!

Morgan has been getting much, much more talkative lately and is finding it easier to make full sentences and has been cracking Amy and I up the past few weeks.  Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Morgan loves playing with coins - “money”.  I have tried to get her to say “Euro” but she always replies with “My Ro” sometimes she will follow it with “Kitty Ro” and “Mommy Ro”.  Sometimes Daddy gets a ‘Ro’ too.
  • When things happen un-expectantly she wants to know “What happened”.  While walking on a trail last weekend Crazy Kitty fell to the ground which caused “What happened Kitty?”.  Soon after that Morgan tripped and fell to the ground.. her response “What happened Me?”
  • When dropping Wes off at the train station in Brussels so he could go to London when we pulled away I heard very emphatically “Daddy left Wes!”
  • She definitely knows where she is when in the car.  I took a slightly different way home from the grocery today that didn’t take us next to a big pasture by our house.  When we would have passed that pasture I heard “Pony where are you?”  She was very worried since we didn’t see the cute brown pony on the side of the road.
  • Morgan likes to cook and mix things in the kitchen.  I came down one morning last week to see her and Amy making a drink.  I asked Morgan what she was doing “I’m making milk”  I asked her what kind “I’m making chocky milk”.
  • While at the beach yesterday (Thursday) when it was time to go home and leave the lake she very specifically told me “No home yet, play in watey” (water)”
  • When driving by Amy’s work I always hear “Hi Mommy!” and “I love you Mommy!”
  • She is getting very polite.  She almost always says “Thank you Mommy” or “Thank you Daddy” after we have given her something.
  • When we are saying goodbye to Amy as she bikes to work Morgan almost always says “No rain Bike”.

There we go – just a few!
