Strawberry Season!

To me it's hard to beat fresh, in season, fruits and produce.  It might be one of the reasons I tend to get a little over-excited about spring, but still there is not much in the way of seasonal produce until  asparagus arrives.  I still need to work on Morgan's taste for that, but now that it's May our farmers market is open Saturdays and we picked up some delicious strawberries were such a tease.  We just had to squeeze in a day to pick our own right from the patch.  I had high hopes of making sorbet or jam with them, but in the end nothing really lasted that long and we're hoping they still have a few pints left by next weekend. 

Morgan's Spring Concert

Morgan's school had a wonderful concert this spring.  Here are a few videos of her class.  She's the hip shaker in the back row on the right.  She was preparing for a long time and was careful that I didn't catch her singing before the concert.

Dude Ranch

Morgan and I went with a group of friends to a dude ranch in the Poconos for the weekend.  It was a great, relaxing weekend and Morgan had a blast.

Morgan was among the kids up at 6:30 to help feed and brush the horses to get ready to ride.  I was the unfortunate victim.

Morgan's favorite spot at the ranch was the frog pond.  She was in there most of the weekend catching frogs.
